The title of this album is from Doc Watson's version of Shady Grove. These words have significance for me for several reasons. At the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, my wife Molly and I left Brooklyn and stayed with family in Massachusetts. Some of these pieces are from my years of playing on the NYC subway platforms, and others I wrote after leaving New York. The pieces represent the feelings of loss and hope experienced during these uncertain times. The album is dedicated to Molly's brother Dan and her uncle Chip. Two great guys gone way too soon.
